Author Talk

Image
My experiences researching the author/illustrator of "Clifford the Big Red Dog" by Norman Bridwell. It was very interesting learning about him because growing up I read his books and watched the TV cartoon show on PBS Kids based on the book but I never knew who he was. When we were given the Author talk assignment and thinking about what children's author I could write about I thought about Clifford which led me to be curious and search for the author who brought happiness to my childhood and my love for dogs.  However, as a future teacher, I would use this in my classroom by sharing the impact this author has created for me as a student and in my childhood. Also, shared the many times his book got rejected by different publishing companies but he never quit until it finally got published. By this, I want my future students to know no matter what people tell you, just keep trying/reaching for your goals.
